Change of Medical System

On the 5th November we successfully changed our Medical System from Vision to EMIS Web. Work is still going on behind the scenes as we get used to the new system, so do still bear with us.  Our On-Line access is now available so please either ask at reception or ring the surgery to request your new registration letter which will allow you to create an account on the new system. Thank you

Flu Clinics

We are now in the Flu season once again. Our flu clinics are now available for booking  but we also have "Drop-in" clinics which you do not need to pre-book. If you are under 65 years and in an "at risk" category or are over 65 years then please contact the surgery on 01342 843822 to book an appointment. We also have clinics available for children which can be booked in the same way. Please ask Reception for details of all the clinics.

From Friday 23rd January we will be offering a text messaging service. This means that if we have your mobile phone number you will receive confirmation of any appointment booked at the surgery. You will then receive a reminder prior to the appointment.

All telephone calls will now be recorded. This is for training purposes only

With effect from 31st March you now have access to part of your Medical Records. You will need to complete our most up to date on-line application form. For more information about this service please ask at Reception.

Saturday Opening

From Saturday 2nd August 2014 we will be opening every Saturday from 9am to 12pm. Please call for an appointment.

Supporting people with memory problems

Every week there is a community meeting in the Centenary Hall. If you care for someone who has memory problems we would be pleased to see you. Please let reception know if you are interested. We also need helpers.

Online Services

We offer on-line booking of appointments and online requesting of repeat prescriptions.  To make use of these services you first need to reigster with us for Vision Online Services (VOS). You can complete the necessary form in the surgery or via this link website/H81638/files/SS_Patient_Online_Registration_Form_2014.docx

When registering for Vision On-Line Services you can have access to the following:

  • Make and cancel appointments
  • Request Repeat Medication

However, from March 2015 you will also have access to the following:

Access to your Medical Records – this will enable you to view your Medical records on-line.

In order to do this we are now required to confirm your identity and record the confirmation in your medical records. This is an NHS prerequisite for any patient to access their medical records.

Two forms of documentation must be provided as evidence of identity and one of these must contain a photo. Acceptable documents include passports, photo driving licences and bank statements, but not bills.

For all new patients this will be part of the Registration Process but for existing on-line users we will need to confirm your identity.

In view of this would our existing users kindly supply us with the recommended identification to allow us to record it in your medical records?

If you have any queries please contact Susan Knight at the Surgery

The completed form needs to be returned to the surgery and you will then be issued with the details you need to create your own username and password on the website.

Using Online Appointments and Repeat Prescriptions should be fairly intuitive, but if you get stuck the online help is clear. If you would like to look at the User Guides before accessing the websites you can click on the link(s) below:
